Donna M. Ringo, CIH

Donna M. Ringo, CIH, is President of DMR and Associates, Incorporated in Louisville, Kentucky.

She holds a BS in Chemistry and an MSPH from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She began her career as a regional hygienist for Hercules Chemical Company. Moving to Louisville in 1984, she began the first woman owned Industrial Hygiene consulting firm in the region. She sold that company in 1991 to Orr Safety and is now operating DMR & Associates, Inc. Donna regularly speaks to college students about industrial hygiene as a profession. Her practice includes traditional field investigations, expert witnessing, and health and safety training. She served on the Advisory Board for the UAB School of Public Health for a number of years and has taught Professional Development Courses on Starting a Consulting Business for the American Industrial Hygiene Association. She has been a consultant for 24 years.

William P. Ringo, Ph.D., CIH, CSP

Bill Ringo, Ph.D., CIH, CSP is Senior Consultant for DMR & Associates Incorporated in Louisville, Kentucky.

He holds a BS in Chemistry, an MBA in Operations Research and Ph.D. in System Science. He joined the predecessor company to DMR in 1988 following a career in public and private health systems. His practice interests center around hazardous materials issues and radiation. He spends more than half of his professional time training industrial workers and others about safe handling and emergency procedures involving hazardous materials. He has conducted training and industrial hygiene projects throughout North and South America .

Bill has been a SCUBA diver since the 50’s and can be found much of the year deep under warm water way south of town. He recently completed a series of dives on a sunken aircraft carrier in the Gulf of Mexico.

Memberships include: Diplomat of the Academy of Certified Industrial Hygienists, Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and a member of the Health Physics Society.

William R. Ringo, CIH

Billy Ringo, CIH is the Chief Information Officer and Vice President in charge of Communications and Technical Information for DMR & Associates Incorporated in Louisville, Kentucky.

Billy has been an Industrial Hygienist for more than half his life, has a Bachelors of Science degree in Safety Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY, and earned his CIH in May of 2007. His industrial experiences have included creating and maintaining Industrial Hygiene and Safety programs for major manufacturing, transportation, food service and other industrial and commercial clients along with air and noise sampling in more than 25 different industrial settings in the region. He has also taught extensive courses in major steel making foundries including but not limited to Confined Space Entry, Lockout and Tag out, Blood Borne pathogens and Toxicology. Billy is a member of AIHA’s Future Leaders Institute. He enjoys traveling around Kentucky and Indiana speaking to local student sections about opportunities for new IH professionals. Billy is a veteran Military Police Sergeant from the first Gulf War, holds a commercial pilot rating for single and multi-engine aircraft, is a certified full cave diver with a nitrox mixed gas specialty. When he isn’t keeping the computers and databases up and running at DMR, Billy enjoys spending quality time with his three children.
